(So We’re All Clear)
Welcome to chrisbensted.co.uk. Below you’ll find the important bits that explain how I handle your data, what you agree to by using this site, and how my content is protected. It’s written in plain English, because no one needs to be confused by legal noise.
1. Privacy Policy
I take privacy seriously. I collect the minimum amount of data needed to keep this site running and useful.
What I collect:
- If you fill in a form or sign up to a mailing list, I collect your name and email address.
- The site uses Google Analytics to help me understand visitor behaviour (things like what pages are most popular or how people found me).
- Like most websites, I use cookies for basic functionality.
- I also collect Likes, Hearts and Follows – so please visit my social media!
What I don’t do:
- I don’t sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties – and I don’t plan to.
- I don’t track you unnecessarily. I have better things to do.
- I don’t run a dating service, or deliver takeaway food – just so we are clear.
Who can see your data:
- Your data is only seen by me (Chris Bensted) or any admin staff who are strictly vetted, and occasionally by trusted service providers like MailerLite (for newsletters) or my web host (GreenGeeks) – but only if needed to keep things working.
Your rights:
You can ask me to view, edit, or delete any personal information I hold about you. Just email me at info@chrisbensted.co.uk and I’ll sort it.
2. Terms and Conditions
By using this website, you’re agreeing to the following:
- All content provided here is for general information and signposting. It is not legal or professional advice.
- While I do my best to keep the information accurate and up to date, I make no guarantees.
- Any links to third-party websites are for your convenience. I don’t control or take responsibility for their content or policies.
- If you choose to subscribe to my newsletter or use my contact form, you agree to provide honest and accurate information.
- Consider changing you opinions, beliefs and practices. We all need to be willing to change to grow – even me!
Use this site with respect – no spam, no scraping, no nonsense
If I make changes to these terms, I’ll update this page. Continued use of the site means you accept those updates.
3. Copyright & Content Use
Everything on this site – including text, images, blog posts, and downloadable resources – belongs to me, Chris Bensted, unless otherwise stated.
You can:
- Quote small sections of content if you credit me and link back to this site.
- Share public blog posts via social media (with attribution).
- Help me change the world by including my approaches in your teaching.
You can’t:
- Copy full articles or resources without permission.

- Pass off any part of this site as your own.
Some images used are royalty-free from Pixabay and remain under their licence terms.
If you’re unsure whether something’s okay to use – ask first. I’m usually friendly.
4. Training & Cancellation Policy
This section applies to all paid training delivered by Chris Bensted – including theory sessions, driving lessons, instructor development, CPD, and business coaching – whether online or in person.
Zoom-Based Training
All online training delivered via Zoom is also subject to the Zoom Sessions Policy, which covers behaviour, recordings, group etiquette, and expectations.
You must ensure you have a working device, internet connection, and a quiet space to participate.
Face-to-Face Training (In-Person or In-Car)
Training delivered in person – whether at an event, in a training room, or in a car — requires the same professionalism as online sessions.
You are expected to:
- Arrive on time and ready to take part
- Engage fully in the session
- Follow all reasonable safety instructions
Payment Terms
- Payment is due 48 hours in advance via bank transfer, unless otherwise agreed.
- Your session is not confirmed until payment is received.
- Where sessions are booked as part of a programme or block, alternative arrangements may apply – and will be agreed in writing.
Cancellation & Refunds
I understand that things can change, and I aim to be fair. However, short-notice cancellations have a real impact on small businesses like mine.
- Cancellations with more than 48 hours’ notice will receive a full refund, though I reserve the right to deduct an admin fee.
- Cancellations within 48 hours are non-refundable, though I may offer a credit or reschedule at my discretion.
- No-shows (without notice) are not eligible for a refund or reschedule.
- For multi-session packages or intensives, a custom cancellation and refund agreement may apply. This will be clearly outlined before booking.
Rescheduling is not guaranteed, but where possible I will try to accommodate changes. This is handled case by case – communication is key.
SEND Clients
I work with many neurodivergent and SEND clients and will always aim to make reasonable adjustments. To help me do that, you must:
- Let me know in advance if you have any support needs, communication differences, or accessibility requirements.
- Understand that adjustments are not always possible at short notice.
- Accept that while I will support where I can, I need to run a business – no work, no pay applies to everyone.
Free pre-training consultations are available to help identify support needs before booking. These can be done via phone, email or Zoom, depending on preference.
Summary
The aim is always to be flexible, fair, and professional. I’m happy to discuss individual circumstances, but clear boundaries protect both of us.
If in doubt – communicate early.
