Standards Check and Part 3
Advice
One of the most common, and ill advised, comments I hear is
"Just do a normal lesson"
That isn't to say you shouldn't do a 'normal lesson', but unless that ADI (or examiner) has seen your lesson, how do they know?
Compare it to a learner enquiry:
You get a call from an unknown driver asking to use your car for the test, stating that they can drive. Do you give them the car for test day? Or do you do an assessment?
Or an experienced licence holder who needs a retest for some reason. Never had a crash! Would you tell them to "just go and do a normal drive"?When taking any test there are 2 factors:
1. Know the criteria 2. Be able to meet the criteriaWhat qualifies me to comment?
When the Check Test changed to become the Standards Check I helped 1000s of ADIs achieve success for FREE. I did this by making things simple and understanding the 2 factors above. Below you will find opportunities for me to help you to achieve the same levels of success.
Since then I have trained with two of the most recognised Standards Check and Part 3 advisors in the industry, Lou Walsh from Driving-Instructor TV and Tri-Coaching Partnership, completing both of their 'Train a Trainer' courses to confirm and grow my understanding of the process.

I genuinely believe that the SC/P3 marking sheet fits a good lesson. If you are finding something hard to include or 'odd', maybe you need to challenge your understanding of it? I would love to help you achieve this.

Why wait for the DVSA to get in touch?

We all know it's coming, the longer the wait the more daunting it can become. With less notice and the requirement to find a pupil there is little time left for prep and planning.
So why wait? Why not take your own regular assessments as part of your CDP? Taking off the pressure when you do get called up to a Standards Check, to the point that it becomes just another lesson.
By ensuring that every lesson meets the structure and requirements of the Standards Check you not only improve your standards but also reduce your stress levels.
Annual assessment package available on request.
